This was another fun project to work on. The purpose was to create a documentary video that mainly used b-roll footage as filler and the person had to have gone through a struggle to get to where they are today.
This was a group project and the initial step was to find someone that had a really good story to tell. I happened to have this friend that i’ve known for a long time. He was an artist and musician of the band Sc Mira.
Tyler is a successful artist now, but his upbringing wasn’t so easy. He had a disease known as “Avascular Necrosis” which effects the hip joint and causes it to disintegrate, leaving him with a lot of pain and trouble walking or standing.
I thought that it would be a great story to tell and it gave us the opportunity to get a lot of b-roll footage that showcased his artwork and musicianship.
The total process time for developing a script, storyboard, shooting and editing was about three and a half weeks. All editing was done individually in Adobe Premiere Pro.
